Getting Started

Learn More
After reading my webpage, please feel free to contact me for more information or to schedule an intake appointment. I can be reached at (406) 442-7920. When you call, you may reach administrative staff or a confidential voicemail. Please be prepared to leave a message with your name, phone number, and best times to contact you. It is not necessary to leave your concerns or treatment needs in your message.

What to Expect in the Initial Phone Call
Our initial conversation may take anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on your questions and initial concerns. During this conversation, I will provide you with information regarding my services/specialties, ask you a number of questions regarding your presenting concerns, and we can together determine whether I may be the right fit for you or your child/family. If you decide to begin working with me, we can schedule an initial intake session at your convenience. Otherwise, I will provide you with information about appropriate referrals and resources that may better fit your needs or schedule.

Initial Assessment
The initial assessment will take roughly 1-1.5 hours, with 15-20 minutes dedicated to intake paperwork. Afterward, I will spend the majority of the session getting to know you and asking questions in order to clarify your presenting issues, concerns, strengths/interests, and treatment goals. These questions will help me to clarify how I can best serve you as a clinician, support our collaborative development of your treatment plan, and ensure that future sessions can be as enjoyable and efficient as possible. This session is also a wonderful chance for you to address any questions you might have about the therapeutic process in general or what to expect going forward.

Continued Therapy
After the initial assessment, we can schedule ongoing therapy sessions to best accommodate your needs and schedule. Therapy is most commonly scheduled on a once-weekly basis, though alternative schedules are available depending on your needs and the limits of your insurance provider.
